Corruption mastermind Angelo Agrizzi is not expected to appear in court, and it appears that the case will be delayed yet again, EWN reports.
It was alleged that former African National Congress (ANC) member of Parliament (MP) Vincent Smith received more than R800,000 worth of kickbacks from Bosasa in exchange for his political influence and protection. The allegations were made in a case that was brought against Smith.
The question of whether or not Agrizzi is fit to stand trial was scheduled to be argued in the high court in Pretoria in the month of March. As a result, the proceedings scheduled for Monday were anticipated to be postponed in order to await the decision regarding this issue.
Since then, he had been absent from court due to an illness.

As a consequence of this, the case was put on hold, as was a previous one in which Agrizzi was accused along with three other individuals regarding prison tenders that Bosasa and its subsidiaries won between the years 2004 and 2007.
