Army Chief General MM Narwane, who arrived on a three-day tour of Nepal, will be watching the relationship between the two countries

Indian Army Chief General MM Narwane has arrived in Nepal on a three-day tour. On his visit to Nepal he will attend an event in Kathmandu. Here, General Narwane will be awarded the honorary rank of ‘General of the Nepal Army’ by Nepali President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

Earlier, on his visit to Nepal, Army Chief General MM Narwane said on Tuesday that his visit to Kathmandu would strengthen relations between India and Nepal earlier. The armies of both countries will benefit from this. He said that I am very excited about my visit to Nepal. There I will meet senior military officers as well as other people, which will further intensify the relations between the two countries.

Army chief’s program

The Indian Army Chief is on a visit to Nepal from November 4-6. Army Chief General MM Narwane will hold talks with the Army Chief of Nepal. On Thursday, President Vidyadevi Bhandari will confer with him the title of Honorary Maharathi of Nepali Army. On Friday, the last day of the visit, the Army Chief will meet Prime Minister and Defense Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Relations between the two countries have come under strain after Nepal released a new political map. This is the first high-level visit from India since then. There is another good news in the midst of a new beginning of the Nepali relationship with the visit of the army chief. 

A day before the army chief’s visit, he was put on high alert in Kathmandu. Activities were increased by alerting the border district administration adjoining Uttarakhand. According to security agencies some organizations may show black flags to the army chief. There is also a possibility of shouting slogans on the head. The matter of fierce demonstration is also coming together.
