It is alleged that on that day, the victim was leaving a local tavern in Plot 18 Vaalbank when a white car emerged with four suspects inside; there were three males and one female who had a baby with her. The baby was in the car seat.
The police in Middelburg were able to save a person who is believed to be the victim (30) of an abduction.
Four suspects ranging in age from 18 to 29 were taken into custody by the aforementioned members on suspicion of kidnapping and robbing the victim, who was discovered in her naked state. It was reported that the incident took place at approximately 02:30 on the 10th of December.

It is alleged that they pretended to be looking for directions to another tavern while actually engaging in criminal activity.
In order to provide accurate directions, the suspects requested that the victim get into their vehicle.
After getting inside the car, the suspects allegedly drove off in a different direction, and then they allegedly demanded cash in addition to some of the victim’s valuables while severely assaulting him.
It is also reported that they were driving on a gravel road when they stopped next to a specific bridge. It was during this stop that he allegedly had his clothes stripped off.
After they were finished, it is said that the female suspect dissuaded her accomplices, who had suggested that he be thrown into water. She did this so they wouldn’t do it.
After that, they proceeded to get back into their vehicle while the suspects remained naked.
When members of Middelburg’s Crime Prevention Unit were out on their regular patrol, that’s when they spotted the vehicle in question.
After that, the members approached the vehicle in order to investigate it.
These members had excellent intuition because they smelled a rat even though one of the passengers was not wearing any clothes.
After conducting an investigation, it was discovered that he had been kidnapped and subjected to harsh treatment.
The victim was saved while the four suspects were taken into custody and charged with kidnapping, robbery, and assault respectively.
As the investigation continues, the law enforcement officials cannot rule out the possibility of adding additional charges.
Today, all four of them are scheduled to make an appearance in the Magistrates Court in Middelburg.
