Monday’s fatal stabbing of a mother in Mossel Bay, reportedly by a close friend, is still the subject of an ongoing police investigation.
According to IOL, Kirsty James (mother of one) was assaulted in her workplace.
A deadly friendship
The suspect is alleged to have used a knife to stab the victim thirty times.
It has yet to be determined what caused the gruesome incident.
During the attack, police say she was repeatedly stabbed resulting in the blade of the knife breaking off inside her body.

James died while en route to the hospital on Monday.
During the assault, the suspect sustained a hand injury and is presently under police guard in a hospital.
She is a close personal friend of James and her family, as well as the family.

On Thursday, the suspect charged with murder will make her initial court appearance at the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court.
According to reports, James left behind a young child.
After the story broke, there had been rumors of a possible love triangle; nevertheless, it later came out that James disclosed details of an alleged fraud involving Edwards.
Edwards, who worked at NDK Valuers on a part-time basis alongside James, is suspected of committing fraudulent activity with the company credit card.
She is scheduled to appear in court again on June 5th, 2023, so she will be held in custody until then.
She is being accused of murder as well as fraud at this time.
