Phala Phala: Following the damning findings of an independent panel investigating the Farmgate scandal, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, a senior member of the ANC NEC (National Executive Committee), has demanded that President Cyril Ramaphosa resign from his position as soon as possible.

Ramaphosa should step down Dlamini Zuma (NDZ) suggested at an appearance on the JJ Tabane show Power to Truth, which airs on eNCA every Wednesday evening.

NDZ’s call comes at a time when there is growing pressure for Cyril Ramaphosa to resign or face an impeachment process. Ramaphosa has been found to have violated several sections of the revered and sacred Constitution of the country due to how he handled the Farmgate matter, which dates back to February 2020. Dlamini Zuma’s call comes in the context of this growing pressure.

The report that was compiled by the panel that Judge Sandile Ngcobo presided over and presented to the National Assembly (Parliament) was made public on Wednesday evening.

According to the findings of the panel, Ramaphosa has some explaining to do because he may have violated several different provisions of the Constitution.

Following the dissemination of the report to the public, ActionSA issued a statement in which they demanded that the troubled Ramaphosa resign from his position immediately or face the possibility of impeachment.

As a result, Mr. Ramaphosa is required to step down immediately or face the possibility of impeachment (delay).

At a time when the country is in need of ethical leadership, the party that is led by Herman Mashaba has stated that South Africa simply cannot afford to have another president in office for more years while he faces criminal charges.

It stated that it has never wavered from its position that Ramaphosa’s behavior in relation to the issue was criminal.

“He ought to step down from his position in order to spare the nation any further embarrassment caused by the product of his imagination.”

“We have also maintained that there is no such thing as a ‘good ANC’ or a ‘bad ANC’ – that the ANC is a criminal enterprise, and that our position has been vindicated by this most recent development.

“South Africans deserve a president whose leadership is beyond reproach, and after Jacob Zuma and now Cyril Ramaphosa, it is clear that ethical leadership cannot be found within the ANC.”
