The boy’s biological mother allegedly killed him in Volksrust. In a domestic incident, the suspect’s 8-month-old daughter and 63-year-old mother were also stabbed.
According to SAPS 36-year-old female suspect was arrested quickly by police.
According to the report, Volksrust police responded to a domestic altercation at a property. Members had to smash the locked door to enter. Members entered the lounge and found the boy’s body in a pool of blood.
The victim’s chest and throat were stabbed. The suspect’s mother was found cowering in the bathroom with a stab wound on her lower body.
The injured baby was located in the same room as the defendant, who was charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.
The suspect will face charges in Volksrust District Court.
